Work started on Geotags 1.2

We have started working on Geotags v1.2. Planned improvements for this version include:

- Support for standard pinch-in, pinch-out gestures to control zooming (replacing the current wheel menu buttons)
- Exporting of feature data to a desktop machine

Geotags 1.1 released

Geotags v1.1 with GPS accuracy improvements was approved by Apple and is available on the App Store.

Geotags 1.1

Geotags 1.1 has been submitted to Apple for approval.

This version mainly focuses on fixes to the GPS location engine.

- GPS readings should be equivalent to readings in other applications (ie. Google Maps)
- When a new GPS reading is obtained, the map should correctly center itself
- When manually moving the map after obtaining a GPS position, further GPS readings should correctly reposition the map on the reading

GPS problems with Geotags

Some of you have been having difficulties using the GPS functionality of Geotags. We are aware of the problem and are working on the solution. An updated version will be available shortly.

However, we would appreciate any users with problems in this area to post in the Community section of the website. This problem is hard for us to reproduce since it only happens in certain parts of the world. Your help and patience is greatly appreciated!

Geotags is released

Apple has approved Geotags for release on the app store! We hope you enjoy using Geotags as much as we’ve enjoyed making it. Software constantly evolves, please do not hesitate to let us know how Geotags could be improved. We’d also enjoy learning how Geotags is helping you!
