Too many mapping applications are cluttered with controls and icons, leaving little space for what's important. Terrapad's map uses all the real estate available on the screen to present the map and your data.
The manipulation interface in Terrapad stays out of the way, until you actually need it. Simply bring it up by tapping the screen. Our wheel interface is overlayed on the map and shows you choices that are relevant to the context.

Our unique wheel interface allows you to perform a variety of tasks with your data.
A simple tap and hold of any item in the wheel will explain the item's purpose, in plain english.
You may move the wheel by dragging the hollow center and still have access to interacting with the map by dragging and pinching outside of the wheel.
The wheel may be dismissed by simply tapping outside of it on the map.

Just tap the center of the wheel to place a point or let the GPS take you there.

When editing the details of your map features, you'll be greeted by the standard iPhone input screens. It works like all the other standard iPhone applications you use.
That doesn't mean that editing Terrapad attributes can't be powerful. Terrapad features may contain a vast number of attribute types such as:
- Text information
- Numeric information
- Date information
- Telephone number
- Geolocation (Address field, automatically populated from the feature's location)
- Latitude/longitude coordinate pairs
- Lists (Dynamic or fixed)
- Website URL
- eMail address
- Boolean information (Yes / No)
- Photos
- Audio recordings

If you ever feel lost or need some tips to enhance your Terrapad experience, watch our tutorial or read the extensive help document all within the application.
And if that's still not enough, head-on over to the Community section of our site directly from the application and join in on the discussions.
