Founded in the fall of 2007 by Philippe Boudreau,
Francois-jean de Brienne, and Quinn Hiebert, Fasterre
is a progressive IT consulting company committed to
quality GIS solutions. With a diversity of backgrounds
in GIS and IT, Fasterre's three founding owners enjoy
the challenges and rewards of working with various
clients to provide solutions.
Philippe has been a GIS application developer for almost 10 years. Working with two major North American electric utilities, BC Hydro and Hydro-Quebec, Philippe has acquired extensive knowledge of the Smallworld™ family of products.
His disciplined approach, enjoyment of a challenge, dedication to his clients, and high level of productivity contribute to make Philippe an outstanding software developer. Throughout his work experience, he has shown a remarkable talent for analyzing and solving complex problems with solutions meeting the requirements of his clients.
François-jean has 20+ years of experience in large scale IT software development, seven of which have been dedicated to GIS. During his assignments at Hydro-Quebec, Vid/otron, Teleglobe, SNC-Lavallin, and others, François-jean acquired strong expertise in technological project recovery, team and deliverable management, functional and technical architecture, and in effective user communications.
François-jean is known for his capacity to make difficult decisions when required. His clients appreciate the quality of his work along with the care he takes in respecting initial costs and deadlines. His peers consider him as a mentor, whether for his technical skills or his ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms.
Formally trained in GIS, Quinn has 9 years of experience as a GIS Consultant. Working with ESRI products, Quinn spent the first three years of his GIS career as a Developer and Analyst in the Forest Industry. He then devoted his time as an expert Smallworld™ GIS Consultant for Utilities at General Electric, with vast experience in designing, developing, and implementing GIS applications for numerous clients, including Hydro-Quebec, BC Hydro, Videotron, and Florida Power and Light.
With strong skills and experience throughout all phases of GIS projects, Quinn enjoys developing and implementing small and large scale GIS applications that satisfy customer needs with a strong fundamental approach toward high quality GIS data and processes.
